Anilam close their doors in the USA
Heidenhain has announced that sales and production of all Anilam CNC and DRO systems will be eliminated effective 1/1/12. Anilam was a major player early on in the CNC milling and turning controls industry.

Used Anilam control components, when available, can often be found on Ebay.com. Machines in Motion Inc. no longer supports Anilam line of CNC controls, however we do support CNC machinery built with the OEM Anilam control. Machines in Motion Inc. can refresh your old unsupported Anilam control by upgrading to the Centroid CNC retrofit controller. Engineered, manufactured, and fully supported in the USA for over 35 years. Centroid is a great choice when the iron is solid but the control is no longer viable.

CNC kit components
For those of you who are hobbyist or simply short on funds Machines in Motion offers individual CNC control components. Our "All in one" board set is the minimum you can purchase to have a working CNC controller. You will need to supply your own PC computer with Windows 7 or 8, DC servo power supply, DC servo motors with encoder feedback, plus wire, contactors, circuit breakers . . .
The other items shown will make using your new controller simpler. Personally I always recommend purchasing the PC computer, hand held jog pendant, and new encoders with new encoder cables (terminated on each end). This makes for a very usable starter package. When you connect the Centroid PC to the All in one board you can count on its working. If you see an error message it will be genuine. Just follow where it points.
