Bridgeport EZ Trak
Bridgeport EZ Path
CNC machine control
Out of production but still loved by some
Bridgeport brands EZ Trak and EZ Path CNC controls were a major player in the CNC machine tool industry during the early years. Considering the reliability of these older CNC controls it may be time to upgrade your machine tool. Let's face it, there are no new parts and the used parts available have the same hard life as your current circuit boards. DOS Vs. Windows - Floppy disk Vs. USB port or high speed networking. There are some serious advantages to upgrading your older control.
The good
At this age the only outstanding benefit to owning a machine with the Bridgeport EZ Trak or EZ Path control is their very low price. Choosing a replacement controller can be difficult when initial cost is the primary force behind that decision. There are several hobby cnc controls available in the DIY market place. Only Centroid offers a true professional quality CNC retrofit control at a price within reach of most home shops and very small business. Centroid allows you to retain your current DC servo motors or purchase new. The Centroid "All-in-1" board set includes 3 axis of servo drives, PLC input & output, and DSP motion control processer. Your cost of $2,249.00 also includes the CNC software and conversational programming software.

CNC kit components
For those of you who are hobbyist or simply short on funds Machines in Motion offers individual CNC control components. Our "All in one" board set is the minimum you can purchase to have a working CNC controller. You will need to supply your own PC computer with Windows 7 or 8, DC servo power supply, DC servo motors with encoder feedback, plus wire, contactors, circuit breakers . . .
The other items shown will make using your new controller simpler. Personally I always recommend purchasing the PC computer, hand held jog pendant, and new encoders with new encoder cables (terminated on each end). This makes for a very usable starter package. When you connect the Centroid PC to the All in one board you can count on its working. If you see an error message it will be genuine. Just follow where it points.
