Flash Card Update

The current version of CNC control software is 2.64 . Your control and operator will both benefit from the numerous features added since your current software version. Click here to read our technology announcements.
To obtain a current version of Centroid CNC control software, configured for your machine, we will need the following.

From a properly working control make a copy of your report files.

Press F7 utilities, F7 Report, select the floppy or USB drive where you will be saving these files and press F10 "accept".
This will include:
A zip folder named report,
A file named report.txt,
A file named install.sh
(there may also be 1 or 2 others).
Zip these files into one zip folder and email them to Machines in Motion.
In your email include your contact and company information, the make and model of machine you have, the control model and serial number.

Note: If your report has no zip folder but includes many files beginning with "cnc7" then you control is running on DOS. Upgrading from DOS to Linux will require a high speed computer and other hardware considerations. See upgrades listed here.

Once we have confirmed that your current hardware is compatible with Centroid's latest software we will invoice you $295.00 per Flash Card Drive plus $10.00 shipping.

From a nonworking control.
Mail us your non-functional flash card. We have special software to read the remaining information. Often we recover your machine configuration and cnc files. Include your contact and company information with your flash card. Within 48 hours of receiving your flash card Machines in Motion will contact you with our results. Options for restoring your control to operating condition will be offered for your approval.

Worst case It may require a service call if we are unable to recover your machine specific information. New Atrump or other brand machine tools using Centroid as their OEM controller will often store a copy of each machine's files. All machines in Motion customers have back up files stored in our office at no additional charge.

For everyone with a Centroid CNC control - DOWNLOAD A REPORT - and save it someplace safe. If your Centroid CNC computer fails having your report files will save you hundreds of dollars and possibly days of down time.
